The World Conference on Science and Soccer is an initiative from the International Steering Group on Science and Football and under the auspices of the World Commission of Science and Sports. This conference aims to develop the already successful thematic content included in congresses such as the World Congress of Science and Football by focusing on the subject matter on Association Football or soccer.

The conference is aimed at all individuals who have a particular interest in the scientific study and/or the practical performance of soccer players from grass roots to the elite professional level. These include academics & sports scientists, full/part-time (youth) coaches, strength and conditioning specialists, sports medics & physiotherapists, (exercise) physiologists, (club) administrators, teachers and students.
